With over 35 years of B2B marketing experience in manufacturing, supply chain, and tech, Peggy founded Markit Strategies in 2005. She holds a Master’s Degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from Eastern Michigan University and has led award-winning campaigns recognized by both the IABC and the Business Marketing Association.
Peggy serves as a mentor to EMU College of Business students. She’s an ALS advocate and lifelong supporter of the Distinguished Young Women Scholarship Program for high school senior girls.

Amanda Freeman

A content strategist and digital marketing specialist, Amanda has 13+ years of experience developing SEO-optimized, sales-driven campaigns for manufacturing, IT and other B2B sectors. She has written for organizations like the National Association of Manufacturers and the National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors, and is proficient in marketing automation platforms and CRM systems. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Penn State University.

Kathy has led high-impact B2B marketing programs across media relations, digital strategy and branding. Before joining Markit Strategies, she served as Senior Manager for global brand management and digital communications at Meritor. Kathy has also held marketing and communications roles at Detroit Diesel and Daimler Trucks North America, and she earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and International Business from Oakland University.

Val Valentine is a growth-focused B2B marketing leader with over 25 years of experience driving revenue through demand generation, ABM, and full-funnel marketing strategy. Since 2011, she’s applied her deep Midwest market knowledge at Markit Strategies, creating impactful presentations and marketing collateral for clients such as Plex Systems, Fuuz and GovQA. Her experience spans nonprofit, publications, automotive, industrial manufacturing and technology sectors, bringing a versatile perspective to every project.

A passionate design leader and art director, Deb has a proven track record of building brands through thoughtful creative strategy. She’s led successful visual executions for global brands and in-house agencies, working with clients like Stellantis, Ford, Nulogy and Plex Systems. Dedicated to continuous improvement and collaboration, Deb draws inspiration from all forms of art and design.

Patrick McLaughlan, APR
PR Specialist
Patrick McLaughlin is a 35+ year marketing communications and public relations specialist who has a varied career working for the media, within an agency, and inside a client environment. Patrick joined Markit Strategies in 2008 and soon became the lead on the media relations program for client Plex Systems (www.plex.com) from 2008 – 2013.
In 2004, Patrick received his accreditation in APR from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). Patrick earned his Bachelor of Science in Communications from Grand Valley State University.
